Denia day trip Selected Mondays

Why not enjoy a day out to the cosmopolitan resort of Denia. Known for its sandy beaches, rich history and tasty cuisine. For lovers of history Denia castle is a must see.  The ancient fortress overlooks the entire town and offers fabulous panoramic views of the Med. The castle is also home to the Denia archeological museum, which showcases artefacts dating back to Roman times and gives a deeper insight into the towns past. 

Take some time to wander the old quarter of Denia, lined with boutiques, bars, gift shops and colourful houses you can spend many an hour here. The cuisine of Denia centres around fish and seafood and is well known for its prawns, seafood paella, fideua ( seafood noodle dish ) and much more. Wash it all down with a glass or 2 of sangria is always highly recommended !!!

We bring you to Denia on a Monday when they hold their weekly market. Known as one of the largest along the costas you can also spend some times wandering the stalls looking at the local produce or grabbing yourself a bargain.
