Guadalest and Algar Waterfalls Wednesdays
- Availability: Available Now
This is a firm favourite of ours as it combines 2 beautiful, scenic placces of interest in 1 day.
We start our day with a drive up into the countryside from Benidorm, up through the pretty valley to the small, mountain village of Guadalest. Guadalest is often referred to as the Eagles Nest and once you get your first view of the village its easy to see why. The views over to the almost turquiose waters of the Guadalest Reservoir are just stunning. The village itself goes right back to the days of the Moors and is said to have been one of the most successful fortresses of its day, having never been breached. Take time to meander around the narrow cobbled streets, enjoy lunch/tapas in many of the lovely restaurants in the area.
Guadalest is home to many small, unusual museums which you are able to enjoy for just a few euros entry fee. There is the torture museum, museum of salt and pepper shakers and the incredible Antonio Marco dolls house museum.
We then continue the day with a drive back down through the valley to the popular Algar waterfalls. Beautifully situated with crystal clear refreshing water which you can bathe in in order to cool off from the hot Spanish summer weather. With areas to swim in, jump off the rocks into the water and also aras to just sit or lounge and relax its the perfect way to spend the afternoon.
Entrance fee to the waterfalls is INCLUDED in our price
