Join us for an exciting day out at our most popular mountain village of Guadalest.  We are often asked for a day trip just taking in Guadalest so here it is !!!

We start our day travelling up through the lush valley, when all of sudden, the most beautiful scenery gives way to the mountaintop village of Guadalest , a small picturesque village, perched on a tiny pinnacle. With the nickname, Eagles Nest. Its easy to understand why.

Guadalest is famous for its small yet secure fortress and is only reachable via the delicately restored Orduña noble family home which gives you a taste of what life in Guadalest was like many years ago.

These must-see attractions are only accessible via a hollowed out tunnel in the rock which displays how secure the old, orginal Guadalest was all those years ago. Once into the old Guadalest you can also find a selection of unique gift shops displaying not only hand crafted goods which the area is known for but also souvenirs and locally produced specialities such as moscatel dessert wine, nispero jam and liquor and if you are nice to the shop owner you may even get a free sample.....Where do I sign up I hear you say???!!!!!

Something else you may find unique in Guadalest are the array of weird and wonderful museums that are open for you to visit. There is everything from a torture museum, miniatures museum, ornate dolls houses museum to even a museum dedicated to hundreds of delicately made salt and pepper shakers!!!!!

You have plenty of time to have a nice meal surrounded by the views, take in the local shops, some of the museums, up to the viewpoint, into the castle ruins and much more.
