4 day break Mojacar inc Almeria City & Oasys mini hollywood 18-21 May or 26-29 Oct 2026

Staying in the popular tourist resort of Mojacar on the Costa Almería, Mojacar has 2 parts - the modern beach resort and the pueblo (the original village perched up on the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera). Public transport ifrom outwise the hotel makes it an easy coast to explore.

Whilst walking around the streets of the town, the promenade, known as El Malecon, will attract particular attention as it has a beautiful balcony from where there is magnificent view of Garrucha beach. This is where the Jesus de Nazareno Castle is located, also known as the San Ramon Castle. Built in the 18th Century, this is a military fortress that was put up to provide defense to the continuous pirate attacks. Still standing are two turrets and the parade ground. Thanks to this, Garrucha froms part of the Route of castles through Andalucian countryside.

Our itinerary will be as follows: 

Day 1 Travel to our hotel and lunch on arrival. Afternoon free to wander along the beach or have a rest or a swim in one of the hotel pools. You could even take a stroll to the neighbouring town of Garrucha

Day 2 Excursion to the city of Almeria.  A city just begging to be explored, sightseeing and shopping, monuments, museums and art galleries, bars and restaurants or a simple stroll along the seafront promenade. An historical city with a modern feel, Almeria City has something for everyone.

The main city attractions, and must do places to visit, are the old quarter of the city, the ancient Alcazaba fortress and the City Cathedral.

Day 3 A fun filled day our to the Oasys Mini Hollywood wild western park. The park area was originally developed as a setting for wild west films and after filming of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ended some of the extras decided to purchase the film set and promote it for tourist visits. Over the years the park has been developed into a fun filled day out for all ages. The park now features cowboy stunt shows, mock bank robbery, a re-enactment of the final moments of Jesse James. The park is home to an abandoned gold mine, cowboy saloon, western style shops, zoo and swimming complex. Our day also includes a buffet meal at the park. 

Day 4. After breakfast we leave the hotel mid morning for our return travel. 

We stay at the seafront Hotel Servigroup Marina Playa  on a half board basis ( wine and water inc at mealtimes ). A lunch is included on our day out at Oasys mini Hollywood. The Marina Playa hotel is home to large comfortable rooms ( all with balcony / terrace , numerous swimming pools, bar / lounge area, large sun terrace, paddle courts, gym, wellness centre ( fee payable locally ), daily and nightly entertainment and a buffet style restaurant with show cooking and a large choice of food on offer. There are a few gift shops on site at the hotel also. The local bus service stops directly outside the hotel should you wish to venture out to Mojacar village or one of the nearby towns.
