Mojacar Moors & Christians 4 day break 16-19th June 2023

Staying in the popular tourist resort of Mojacar on the Costa Almería, Mojacar has 2 parts - the modern beach resort and the pueblo (the original village perched up on the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera). Public transport ifrom outwise the hotel makes it an easy coast to explore.

Whilst walking around the streets of the town, the promenade, known as El Malecon, will attract particular attention as it has a beautiful balcony from where there is magnificent view of Garrucha beach. This is where the Jesus de Nazareno Castle is located, also known as the San Ramon Castle. Built in the 18th Century, this is a military fortress that was put up to provide defense to the continuous pirate attacks. Still standing are two turrets and the parade ground. Thanks to this, Garrucha froms part of the Route of castles through Andalucian.

This 4 day break coincides with the popular Moors and Christians celebrations in Mojacar so you will have 4 days of parades and excitment both up in the traditional village and along the beachfront. 

We stay at the seafront Hotel El Puntazo 2 on a half board basis ( wine and water inc at mealtimes - 1 bottle of each between 4 people ).

279€ per person based on 2 people sharing a  twin / double room 

369€ single room ( please note that single rooms can only be booked via our office on 966 785 910 owing to being in limited supply ) 

Our itinerary is as follows: 

Day 1: Travel to Mojacar with free time to enjoy the start of the fiesta and evening meal at hotel. 

Day 2: Free day to spend in Mojacar to enjoy the resort and the festivities.

Day 3: Free day to spend in Mojacar to enjoy the resort and the festivities

Day 4: We start our return journey in the afternoon so you still have plenty of time during the morning to enjoy Mojacar.
