Well...What great news that we finally have cruises from Alicante and they are continuing into 2024 owing to their popularity . This excellent Med cruise takes in not only the delights of new ports such as Menorca and Olbia but also the fantastic Southern Spain and even Lisbon.

The MSC Orchestra combines elegant, spacious interiors for which the Musica class of MSC ships is renowned for.  There is ample space to relax as the ship is home to an ample sun terrace, pool area and the Body and Mind Spa with its turkish baths, sauna and treatment packages.

If you feel like being more active the MSC Orchestra is home to a fully equipped gym with panoramic views, jogging track and 5 swimming pools.

For the foodies amongst us MSC Orchestra takes you on a culinary journey, ranging from the Shanghai Chinese Restaurant to the Four Seasons gourmet Italian dining experience, La Piazetta pizzeria and more.

The entertainment is always a big part of any cruise experience and MSC does not let us down with its numerous bars, lounges such as live music in the Savannah bar, fun at the Palm Beach Casino or even a catching one of the spectacular shows at the Covent Garden Theatre.

Our itinerary from Alicante takes in some amazing destinations including:

Mahon in Menorca. This is the smallest and more tranquil of the Balearic Islands and is a place that is full of history, charming villages, great food and fashionable locations. Whilst in Mahon you could take in some of the fine, historic buildings, a bit of shopping at the many stylish boutiques, take a boat trip around the harbour,

Olbia, Sardinia.  Olbia is located in the North East corner of Sardinia and also has a long history and although seen more as a transit town it has many charms that are not to be missed.  Olbia is home to a pleasant historic quarter and you will also be pleasantly surprised by the reasonably priced bars and restaurants.  Olbia is home to pretty churches, a port which has been in use since Roman times, lively shopping area and the lovely Piazza Margherita.  With many narrow streets lined with old stone buildings and quaint boutiques  it is a great place to just wander and lose yourself in the beauty of Olbia.

Genoa, Italy.  Today Genoa is Italy's leading port, with a long history of maritime power that began when it defeated rival Pisa in the 10th Century.  The riches that then flowed into the city around the 16th and 17th Centuries still show in the stunning marble palaces that earned Genoa the nickname of La Superba.  These noble palaces are numerous and are one of Genoas main attractions along with the waterfront, Porto Vecchio old harbour, large aquarium and it is also the birthplace of the favourite Italian sauce of Pesto.

Marseille, France.  Marseille is a very popular and busy port,  This is classed as the gateway of the Provence region and so you can easily explore Marseille and all its delights such as the cathedral, many parks, old harbour area and much more. The climb up to the church at the top of all Marseille is not for the faint hearted but you could take it a little easy and use the open top tourist bus perhaps to save your legs. Many excursions are available from Marseille to the incredible Lavender fields, traditional medieval style towns such as Aix en Provence or even to the historic Avignon.

Malaga, Spain.  A  widely underrated city this is such an attractive city and will surely surprise you.  Malaga is the home to the fabulous Picasso museum and Malaga in fact has more museums that anywhere else. Malaga is home to 2 castle / Fort complexes which shouldn't be missed and also has a maze of narrow streets lined with bars, restaurants, boutiques, ice cream parlous, gift shops and an amazing atmosphere.

Cadiz, Spain.  Founded 3000 years ago by the Phoenicians, Cadiz is the oldest city in Western Europe.  Its rich cultural heritage is evident in its buildings and streets and has a surprisingly upbeat atmosphere.  The city stands on a peninsular jutting out into a bay which is almost entirely surrounded by water. If you climb up to the top of the Citys cathedral you will almost feels like you are standing on the stern of a boat as all you can see is water. The old city of Cadiz is distinctly Moorish in appearance and has plenty of attractions to keep you occupied such as the beautiful squares, fabulopus fish market, tapas bars yet also has an area with a Cuban feel, with colourful buildings and a great atmosphere. One of the most beautiful spots in Cadiz is the Plaza de la Mina in the heart of the city!!
