9 day Rhine River Cruise 28th June - 6th July 2026

A brand new cruise experience for Coachtrips. We are very pleased to offer a river cruise along the Rhine. 

This river cruise starts in Strasbourg and ends in Luxembourg and visits so many places on this itinerary you will be truly spoilt. 

The MS leonardo da Vinci will be your ship for this cruise. The ship has a capacity for 143 passengers and has 72 cabins spread across 2 decks. The ship offers a friendly atmosphere and has a lounge bar with dance floor, piano bar, sun deck and main restaurant offering a wide range of cuisine. 

The itinerary for this river cruise is as follows:

Day 1 travel to Strasbourg ( Flight from Alicante to Basel ), transfer to boat and board the MS Leonardo da Vinci. 

Day 2 Spend the morning cruising the Neckar River to Heidelberg. In the afternoon there will be an excursion to visit Heidelberg and its castle and some free time for you to explore Heidelberg yourself if you wish .

Day 3 Spend the morning cruising along the Neckar & Rhine Rivers. The cruise arrives in Mainz in the early afternoon. take some time to go and explore Mainz and possibly visit the Gutenberg Musuem.

Day 4 We set off in the morning for a guided tour of Frankfurt. A panoramic tour on the coach  gives you a great overview of the city. After this tour you set off on foot for a guided tour of the old quarter, Emporers cathedral, Romerberg and more. Enjoy some free time before returning to the boat. The cruise continues to Rudesheim. There will be a guided tour to the local vineyards on a tourist train and then there will be wine tasting in the historic rooms of the Bassenheimer Hof. The tour continues with a visit to the Seigfrieds Mechanical Music Cabinet.  The museum holds a fascinating collection of musical instruments.

Later in the evening you can enjoy a stroll along the Drosselgasse. Take in the bars, cafes, restaurants and music. 

Day 5 In the morning we pass through the beautiful Rhine Valley.  Majestic Castles, mysterious ruins and famous vineyards dot the countryside. The cruise arrives into Koblenz mid morning.  You can explore the town on your own or with the guided assistance of the onboard host / hostess. In the afternoon cruise along the Moselle River towards Cochem. 

Day 6 In the morning take the guided tour of Cochem Castle. The castle sits on an impressive crag over the Moselle River. After a visit of the castle enjoy some free time in Cochem.

Day 7  Morning in Trier. Trier is known for its well preserved Roman and Medieval buildings, but is also home to some impressive churches. You can visit the amphitheatre, imperial baths, Roman basilica or Roman Gates. In the afternoon enjoy a visit of the town of Saarburg at your own pace. 

Day 8 . Spend the morning cruising along the Saar and Moselle towards Reimich. Option to see Reimich or head off to see Luxembourg

Day 9 Breakfast on board and disembark. Transfer to Charleroi airport for return flight to Alicante
