4 day Zaragoza City break with Excursions 14-17th October 2024

This is a great 4 day break to the incredible city of Zaragoza. Staying at the centrally located Hotel Zenit Don Yo on a bed and breakfast basis this is a great base for exploring this interesting city. 

Zaragoza is home to the impressive Basilica del Pilar which dates back to 9th century and is dedicated to the Virgin of Pilar. It is an incredible buiilding and really has to be seen to be believed. 

We also have an excursion to the stunning Stone Monastery ( Monasterio de Piedra ). Famous for its impressive gardens, waterfalls and monastery building. The monastery was inhabited for centuries and the monks who lived there transformed the area into an oasis of tranquility with numerous tropical plants, trees, numerous waterfalls, trout pond and so much more. You can even go directly behind the waterfall and admire the views from a completely different perspective. The visit ends with a delicious menu del dia in the monastery restaurant ( included in the price ). 

On our last day we take a short journey to a small village called Belchite where we will enjoy a guided visit around the original village which was mainly attacked during the Spanish Civil War but has an incredible history and still lives in the hearts of the local residents whose parents and grandparents lived and worked int he original village.

Day 1 - Travel to Zaragoza with a stop in the city of Teruel en route.

Day 2 - Free day in Zaragoza

Day 3 - Visit to Monasterio de Piedra with entry and lunch included. 

Day 4 - Return journey with guided visit to Belchite
